Are You Rich?
I love statistics.
In the 11/26/07 issue of TIME magazine:
Here's what I saw---
AVERAGE ANNUAL INCOME
Men $42,261
Women $32,515
Households $48,201
Rich people ($350,500 and higher) = 1% of the population. Average household income is $1,100,000/yr.
"Mega-rich" = .01% of the population. Average household income is $26,300,000/yr.
AMERICANS WATCH AN AVERAGE OF---
2:35 of TV a day
WEIGHT STATISTICS
2 out of 3 people are overweight, including 17% of children
83% of us don't exercise, but the ones who do, do it a lot. Women an average of 1:14 per day, men 1:58
ONLINE---
71% of the population is online at home. That means 29% have no Internet access!
We're online at home an average of 1:07 a day, and visit only 2 websites.
Percentage of the people who use certain websites:
Google 71%
Yahoo 69%
MSN 60%
AOL 56%
eBay 37%
You Tube 35%
Wikipedia 30%
(Might find more people that way than on social networking sites.)
