Ignorance Of The Law Is NO EXCUSE!

I’m not talking so much about LEGAL laws here (although there are many that apply to the MLM industry).

I’m referring to certain NATURAL LAWS, which, if followed, will almost GUARANTEE your MLM success.

A law is something that you don’t have to know to follow. For example, let’s say you and I stand side by side and throw identical balls into the air. There are variables that will affect how high each ball goes and when it will come down (each of us will have different strength levels and toss the balls at different velocities, one of the balls will go higher, etc.).

But the law of gravity makes the balls have one thing in common--- both will come down.

Whether you know it or not, it’s gonna happen.

A legal law applies, whether you know it or not. Pretend that we live down the street from each other. You borrow a book from me. You call me a few days later and say, “Hey, I finished that book I borrowed. Are you gonna be home tomorrow? I want to return it.”

“No,” I say to you. “Just leave it in the mailbox.”

If you do that, whether you know it or not, you’ve just committed a federal offense. Even if it’s my book, my mailbox, and I tell you to do it, the law says nothing can go in the mailbox--- except mail.

So if, just as you’re closing the little door on the box, a postal inspector just happened to be driving by--- you could be in REAL big trouble. “I didn’t know it was against the law,” you say. “Besides, I meant no harm.”

“I know,” the inspector says. “But what you just did is still a federal crime and ignorance of the law is no excuse.”

See, the law applies, legally or naturally, whether you know it or not. And boy, would you be pissed at me for getting you in trouble with the law!

But that’s what happens in MLM all the time. People knowingly (or unknowingly) tell you to do things that violate the laws of MLM success (we call them “pillars”), and most of the time, the law blows the violation up in your face.

Here are some things that VIOLATE the laws of MLM success. If your “sponsor” wants you to do ANY of these things, RUN!!!

*** Go on the web on free sources like MySpace and post links to your company’s website or products. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

*** Thumb through the categories in the Yellow pages and make a list of 200 people who might be interested in your business. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

*** Leave business cards in bathrooms and on tables at restaurants. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

*** Put flyers on parked cars and on utility poles. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!! (It’s called littering.)

*** Dial up your “sizzle call” on your cell phone, and shove it into an innocent bystander’s ear. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

*** Stick a magnetic sign on your car door, so your car can be a “rolling billboard” for your company. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

*** Most people will join if you can just get them to a “meeting”, because it’s a “group setting” and they’ll be hypnotized by the hype. (True, they’ll get in--- but they won’t actually DO anything.) So DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

*** Try to manipulate anybody into your business any way you can. DO N-O-T DO THIS!!!

You will NOT “just get 5 people” who get five, who get five, etc., because if you do, you’ll recruit every man, woman, and child on earth and then your entire organization collapses from a lack of people for the suckers on the bottom to recruit. You don’t have to believe that, but it’s true. Simple law of arithmetic.

GOOD NEWS FOR MLMers

The good news is that if you build a business on the 5 PILLARS OF MLM SUCCESS, your business will succeed. Every time. Has to. The Pillars are based on natural laws that work for anyone who applies them. Here are the Pillars:

1. Company management experience with integrity.

2. PERFECT timing (in the industry AND in the company).

3. Products people want and will pay for.

4. Fair, legal, and ETHICAL compensation plan.

5. Complete, organized training and support.

A COMPLETE MORON in a company with those Pillars can make MILLIONS and not even realize how he did it, because the laws of success are on his side. Take away any of the Pillars, and your success will be watered down by that much… no matter what you do.
