MLM How-To: Rainmaking--- What’s In It For You?
A rainmaker is someone who can bring the business to a company. The term is usually used to apply to lawyers, but it can also apply to businesspeople in general.
What’s in it for you? Among other things, the power and respect of being the leader.
There are leaders, and there are followers. Who makes the most money? The leaders do, of course. We all played the game when we were little. And we all wanted our turn being the leader (most of us did, anyway).
For me, being the leader is not just about the money. I for one believe it CAN buy happiness, but more importantly, I want to be good, and have people KNOW I’m good. The Mentoring For Free concept fits me perfectly, because not only can I get my respect, I can find plenty of good people to join me in my business! And when I do, they’re well trained and chomping at the bit to make things happen. They’ll make a bundle for themselves, and contribute to my antipoverty fund at the same time.
Look folks, MLM has a 97% fail rate because almost everything everyone told us was wrong. Whoever told them was wrong, too. That means that if we do the exact opposite of what the 97%ers are doing, we’ve got a great chance of being right. How do you like them odds?
Now, go make some rain.
