NOW Is The Only Time There Is

NOW is the only time there is. And I’m PERFECTLY OK with that.

We tend to think of time in terms of past and future. But those places only exist between our ears. TIME is in the answer to all problems--- if you want better health, you get TIME to improve it. If you want money, you get TIME to earn it. Whatever you want happens at a later TIME. So the future is important.

The PAST is where the memory goes to give you PRESENT instructions. “How do I handle this?” “What does this mean?” “What’s going to happen, and how do I know?” The answers are in our PAST experience.

The FUTURE is where something’s GOING TO happen--- whatever that is. Your guess is as good as mine. The actor Phillip Michael Thomas used to say, “Yesterday’s a CANCELLED CHECK… tomorrow’s a PROMISSORY NOTE… TODAY is CASH IN HAND.”

So NOW is what we’ve REALLY got to work with. We can work backwards, forwards, up, down, or laterally--- but it all starts NOW. This is your “point of power”.

A week ago, I almost quit my business--- before I really got started. I anticipated a conversation with a key member of my upline that actually went differently than I had it planned in my mind (the way it was going to happen in the FUTURE). I was disappointed because he didn’t meet MY projection, and I was angry at him until I realized (thanks to the mental cleanse) that although he was the OBJECT of my anger, I WAS THE SUBJECT.

I have to laugh at myself now when I realize that I was giving this (‘important”) person MY POWER. He doesn’t get to determine my frame of mind. I get to call it. At the same time, I have no business projecting how he will react without HIS permission. So I choose to take the positive aspects of our conversation (past), convert it into what is useful to me now (present), and be on the lookout for ways to use it from now on (future), WHENEVER or HOWEVER that happens.

It took 41 years to learn that I live in a movie in real life. In real time. It’s a lifelong reality show. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the KALEEM ABDULLAH show, starring KALEEM ABDULLAH. Written by MAN, directed by GOD, and produced by the star, KALEEM ABDULLAH.

At the same time, you’re starring in YOUR own show. Sometimes our shows meet, sometimes they conflict. But mostly the two never meet. They’re just playing at the same time.

Just knowing this for me is the cure for depression. Or maybe I wasn’t as depressed as I thought I was. Either way, I feel better… I’M PERFECTLY OK.
